New Grounds In Education Theory
New Grounds in Education Theory is an initiative aiming to build supportive and developmental spaces for researchers, ideas, and conversations, pushing at the boundaries of mainstream education research.

Making space for fresh, inclusive, and innovative thinking about education and social theory
Inaugurated in 2022, the New Grounds Seminar Series addresses the limitations imposed on research by institutional gatekeeping, reified disciplinary boundaries, historical canons, and traditional methodologies.
Our first project is an ongoing seminar series focused on the work of PhD/postgraduate and early career researchers who are exploring timely and socially responsive areas of work in education theory, so as to inspire and present new work, offer constructive feedback on work in progress, and build connections and community across disciplines.
